I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist treating troubled relationships, depression, debilitating anxiety, traumatic loss, blocked vitality, underachievement. I have done in-depth psychotherapy with individuals and groups for over thirty years.
The capacity for joy and the ability to conduct relationships with integrity are key goals towards which my clients are working.
Relationships are are the core of in-depth psychotherapy. When my client and I build a good working relationship, psychotherapy can have a great impact on unhappiness and can turn a good life into a great life.
When people have the intention to restore respect and vitality to their couple or family, relationships can become a great source of positive energy. In my psychotherapy groups, I am privileged to witness the capacity of human beings to heal and learn from each other.
I began my training in the 1970's as staff member at a collective counseling center in Harvard Square treating under-served clients. I earned a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology at Boston University, then worked in Beth Israel Hospital's outpatient clinic before establishing my private practice.
