So glad you found your way here! Have you heard the phrase "our issues are in our tissues?" This may sound strange but it’s the reason why traditional talk therapy alone is often not enough. As a result of negative life events, unhealthy relationships, pain, loss, illness, or modern-day stressors, many of us are unable to fully process our emotions, which become stored in our bodies and unconsciously drive our repeated behaviors and thought patterns. We become disconnected not only from those around us but most importantly, from ourselves. In order to move through current challenges, it's necessary to address both mind + body.
My approach is strength-based looking at the many aspects of ourselves, our culture, and environment as an integrative whole rather than as parts in isolation. With specialized experience and training in treating trauma, stress/anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, and illness, I utilize cutting-edge brain+body research to inform your individual needs.
