I bring over 25 years of experience as a clinical social worker and decades of life experience to my practice as a psychotherapist. The most important factor in successful therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. In our work together I will focus on your current situation, looking to the past to help us understand behavior patterns. I focus more on the here-and-now through mindfulness and body-based interventions. I have been trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and the neurobiology of trauma.
I am the adoptive mom of an adult daughter and also have a biological son. I have been married for almost 40 years. My life experience has helped me become a more empathic and understanding therapist.
