Adoption Support Group for Teens

Adoptees between the ages of 13-16, meet once a month for peer support. A safe environment is offered to build friendships while addressing emotional challenges associated with being adopted and normal adolescent stress and anxiety. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) coping skills and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) are provided by the facilitator and explored by the group. Talk Time for Teens

Girls ages 14-16 are invited to join in the fun and make new friendships while building self-esteem and gaining confidence. Share and learn to manage typical teen stressors, overcome anxiety and depression, and be the master of your emotions. Facilitator will use DBT skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance. $25 per meeting ***GROUP NOT CURRENTLY MEETING
