Hello. I'm Donna Borders. I've learned that each stage and circumstance of life can bring challenges, but also opportunities for growth. Because we are all human, we need support from time to time to reflect on where we are; what we might wish to change; and how to better cope with the life issues presented to us. If you find yourself worrying a great deal, feeling less motivated, and overthinking situations, it's a perfect time to talk about it. I’m here to be your support, and offer you tools to reduce your stress response. Satisfying relationships are so very important to our happiness and I specialize in couples counseling.
I have been in the counseling field for over 30 years, and have been a life learner throughout. So I have many evidence based helping strategies to share. I love to offer many resources to my clients. Counseling is a collaborative learning experiences. We explore together, and find ways to bring you a greater sense of wellbeing and joy.
LIfe is not always fair. Many of us have experienced traumatic childhood events and unhealthy relationships as adults, resulting in low self confidence, and relationship avoidance. This does not have to be a permanent response, we can change our brains, and reduce our physical stress responses. We can have more fulfilling relationships, I'm happy to help!
