I've learned in over thirty-five years in the field that anyone who wants change can benefit from a therapy that is geared toward increased self-awareness. I specialize in individual and marital therapy that focuses on improving communication and increased awareness. True knowledge about ourselves comes from insight, which may be blocked by stress, anxiety, and depression. Working through those blocks is possible with mindfulness, stress reduction, and insight oriented and cognitive techniques.
I find that careful listening and maintaining an open opportunity for awareness inevitably leads to growth and change. The developments in the field over the years have expanded the range of the therapy I practice, and I use this knowledge in supervising clinical work, and teaching, and practice.
