Trauma, a difficult childhood, deep loss—they leave a mark. We’d all love to believe that what happened “back then” doesn’t have to affect us in the “here & now.” But it does. Painful experiences change how we feel about ourselves, relationships, and how we view the world. We want to move on but we're stuck. No matter how hard we try to push the pain back or down or away... it leaks back in and we find ourselves living in the same old pain with the same old problems: Stuck. Exhausted. Frustrated.
You start to wonder if you will ever feel safe enough to trust, to love and be loved, to feel joy or peace. It's natural to wonder if your childhood has robbed you of these simple pleasures. But it doesn't have to stay this way.
