I graduated from Indiana University with a master's degree in social work. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor. I have over 30 years of experience working with adults, teens, couples, and families. My focus areas of practice include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, and addictions. I have found that one single approach does not meet every client's needs. I take an eclectic approach to address specific needs based on the client's identified goals and level of motivation.
My practice focus includes clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, adjustment disorders, and/or life-stage transition. I strive to provide a calm and safe environment to allow for a sense of acceptance and ease to allow the sharing of one's personal story.
I have always been drawn to a 'helping profession. After completing my undergraduate education, I considered several alternative graduate programs and was always drawn back to the school of social work. It just seemed like a natural choice for me.
