My practice is devoted to working with school-aged children and adolescents with learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia), ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and significant emotional problems such as anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders. I offer short-term therapy, psychoeducational evaluations, and educational groups and seminars for children and parents.
As a parent of two children with ADHD, I understand the struggle parents face in trying to ensure their children have the needed resources to succeed academically and the pain felt when they experience failure. With 10 years of teaching experience, I also understand the difficulties teachers face in attempting to meet the individual needs of all students.
Unlike most other psychologists, I do all of my own scheduling, billing, testing and report writing. I also answer my own phone calls. Spending time talking with parents and testing children gives me more insight into their unique needs and helps me to identify their struggles. It also helps to improve consistency and continuity of care.
