Hi, I am Donna Bequette. In a warm and connected relationship the potential for healing begins. My skills-based approach to counseling promotes growth and well-being through collaboration, active listening, and effective interventions. My experience includes working with survivors of trauma along with many other issues...including but not limited to stress, depression, anxiety and loss. I also work with couples to resolve communication issues and loss of connection. In a holistic approach; we process on all levels; cognitive, emotional, somatic, social and if desired, a spiritual focus...combined, this can create lasting change.
I have years of training and experience working with people that struggle with trauma, complex trauma and developmental trauma. I am certified in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body focused talk therapy. Also, I am trained in EMDR. There are many issues that arise from trauma experience(s) that I help to resolve.
It is through compassion and non-judgment that allows for a sense of safety and trust with my clients. I am mindful to stay attuned to my clients process and rhythms. It is rewarding for me to witness movement from a place of being stuck to one of openness and joy.
