About
During my thirty-seven years as a therapist I’ve successfully treated many clients for anxiety, depression, dysfunctional relationships and a variety of other issues that have prevented them from living full and happy lives. Often, there problems were caused by traumatic events from childhood. Other times they resulted from more recent events such as a divorce, job loss, serious medical diagnosis, or the death of a loved one.
I’ve helped clients recover from grief, let go of anger and replace social anxiety with a sense of confidence and self-worth. I’ve guided couples in learning to share their experiences rather than finding faults in their partner. Then, as they hear and appreciate their partner’s struggles, they learn to help each other heal, and grow together.
I bring a wide breath of experience to my work. As a Cal-Tech and Harvard Business School graduate I've worked in high-tech and executive jobs. As head of a clinical training program for seven years, I’ve trained many new therapists to listen with open minds and use their own emotional reactions in understanding their clients and resolving their issues.
