My areas of expertise include working with children and adolescents, particularly those experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, and general behavior difficulties.
I received my PhD in both Clinical and School Psychology and worked for 2 years as a School Psychologist on the Eastern Shore before starting my private practice.
My clinical training is in cognitive and behavior therapy. I help adolescents develop positive problem solving skills, which replace their current negative ways of coping.
I also counsel adults with depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, survivors of abuse, and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
Deciding to ask for help is a difficult step for most people. The fear of the unknown, what people might say or think, or just acknowledging that there is a problem can stop someone for asking for assistance.
Therapy is working towards improving your quality of life. It is also working through grief, trauma, or other life challenges. You can succeed! It takes courage. Let me help you find that courage. Take the first step towards a happier future. You deserve it!
