While there are many psychotherapy modalities, I feel that the most important ingredient in the therapeutic process is the ability of the therapist to attune to the individual who is seeking help. This means truly listening with an open heart and conveying empathic understanding. I see psychotherapy as a dyadic process where therapist and client collaboratively work together to bring about desired healing and growth. My role as an experienced facilitator is to utilize my skills and knowledge to guide a way forward toward health and well being.
As we grow to maturity it is not only our minds that are experiencing life and storing memories. Our bodies carry held emotions from particularly disturbing and traumatic events. Having been trained in Bioenergetic Analysis I am able to help individuals to contact and express repressed emotions.
In addition to individual psychotherapy I work with couples. We often marry because we have found love and connection. Little do we know that marriage is a spiritual path that leads us to our deepest wounds. Therapy can help couples become allies in addressing the individual issues that create separation.
