Adults and teens experiencing little interest or pleasure in doing things, shame and guilt, uncontrollable worry, school and work stress, transitions, difficult relationships and low self esteem collaborate with me to learn actionable, lifestyle appropriate and culturally affirming skills. I guide you to discover your strengths and use them to resolve the difficult things. We will identify triggers; reframe irrational thinking patterns; modify maladaptive behaviors; improve distress tolerance; decrease the frequency, intense and duration of symptoms; manage guilt, shame and rumination and more.
I use insight and solution oriented, directive and compassionate approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT and more. I embrace BIPOC, AAPI, Latinx, LGBTQIA+ identities. We'll identify problem-solving skills to manage difficult situations and emotions, develop a greater sense of confidence, increase safety and improve mood, functioning and behavior.
I am honored to guide each of my clients through talking about uncomfortable things, celebrating the bright days and remaining hopeful inspite of what has been and what is to come! I am supportive, engaged, personable, professional, compassionate and respectful of all your thoughts, feelings, dislikes and experiences.
