Counseling provides a safe, compassionate place to gain new perspective, answer difficult questions, and resolve painful conflicts. I am committed to providing knowledgeable, supportive therapy in a non-judgmental, confidential environment. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, Certified EMDR Therapist, and trained Sex Therapist. I hold a Masters Degree from UNF.
My areas of focus include sexual trauma (including rape and childhood molestation), gender-related issues (including transgender transition), relationship issues (including sexual concerns and domestic violence), sex therapy, family of origin issues, depression, anxiety, PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, adolescence, grief and loss, illness, self esteem, and personal growth.
My approach to therapy is personalized and integrative. I adjust the treatment/techniques based on individual goals and therapeutic needs. I utilize a number of clinical approaches; including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Interpersonal Process, Humanistic, Mindfulness, Existentialism, Cognitive Behavioral, Sex Therapy, Exposure Therapies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Psychodynamic.
