I hold a PhD from Smith College School for Social Work and have over 19 years of psychotherapeutic experience. I am trained in psychodynamic approaches that cultivate sustained change. Healing happens through relationship with others, with the therapist as an active participant in that healing process. Individual psychotherapy is offered to address problems of living, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, and trauma.
My specialties include grief and loss, post-traumatic stress disorder, those enduring traumatic loss, as well as depression, anxiety, life changes, and existential stress. Relationship conflict, including communication ruptures, infidelity, entrenched negative dynamics, and issues regarding intimacy are successfully addressed through my work with couples.
I offer a deeply personalized therapeutic relationship, upholding the believe that the relationship between psychotherapist and patient is the primary conduit for change and healing.
