Hi there. I'm Dominic Welcome! I am a licensed clinical social worker in Pennsylvania with over 24 years of experience as a mental health therapist. I enjoy helping people get better at dealing with depression, anxiety, anger, trauma/abuse, relationship difficulties, and substance abuse. I really look forward to meeting with you. My approach to providing therapy involves applying Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFBT) interventions to help deal with mental health problems. I also specialize in Motivational Interviewing (MI).
My focus is on helping my clients become more confident, productive, and successful in life. I especially enjoy witnessing people getting along better with each other and managing their own daily stressors which motivates me in wanting to help.
I have witnessed family members, friends, and acquaintances, along with myself go through many difficulties while growing up. I believe that one of the greatest achievements in life is to become involved in helping people improve and enjoy their lives especially if they can then in turn help others.
