My name is Shanna Dominguez and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. You may be experiencing worry, fear, anxiety, depression, other overwhelming emotions. The good news is these can be managed. I believe there are two experts in the room: you are the expert of your life, and I am the clinical expert. I have experience working with adults, couples, and adolescents. I offer virtual therapy across Texas with flexible scheduling and tailor my approach to meet your needs. I specialize in CBT and DBT methods that help you understand yourself and why you do what you do, while giving you tools to make lasting changes.
My approach is to meet you where you are while also challenging you in an empathetic and non-judgmental way. Our negative thought patterns can halt our stride, ambition, and self-worth in life. I received my Master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of Houston. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology. In addition to private practice, I have also worked in multiple psychiatric hospitals as an inpatient therapist, focusing on depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, self-esteem, and PTSD.
