Because of my background in law, I have treated many lawyers either in practice or in transition, and because of my background in art, I have experience treating a wide variety of artists. I do psychoanalytic, psychodynamic oriented treatment (talk therapy). What this will enable you to do is uncover and explore those emotions which make you experience discomfort and pain. I have treated many individuals who have been traumatized, depressed and/or anxious. I believe that treatment is intricately connected to creativity.
I became a psychoanalyst after having been an attorney. I am also an art historian who specializes in contemporary art. I am an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Art at NYU, and on the faculty of 3 psychoanalytic institutes. This has given me the opportunity to explore creativity and the mind and their intricate connection.
