I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who provide virtual and in-person therapy for people who live in the state of South Carolina. Most of my clients enjoy virtual because of the flexibility it offers. I do offer in-person appointments for clients if that is your preference. Both options are effective. I believe that therapy is a collective journey in which my goal is to provide you with the tools to gain insight and self-awareness that foster personal growth and positive change in your life. I have worked in the human services field for over 24 years with children and adults of diverse backgrounds with a wide range of concerns.

I work with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and self harming behaviors. I also work with clients who are adjusting to new circumstances in their lives, having difficulty managing stress, or trouble navigating relationships and interpersonal conflict. I help clients work to build skills to regulate their emotions and thoughts effectively to become their own therapists.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have worked in private practice in the Clemson area for over twenty years. My practice includes adults, adolescents, families, and couples. I work with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, as well as matters related to sexual orientation and gender identity. Fundamental to this is my belief that we are all individuals who affect and are affected by our families, groups of which we are a part, and the larger society. The variety of techniques I employ are all in the service of empowering my clients as they work toward healing.

We all have difficult times in our lives, and our reactions and thoughts can lead to or exacerbate anxiety, depression, and other unhealthy disorders. I work with teens and up, and I have extensive experience working with college students to help them find balance, motivation, and overcome their fears of "adulting." I use CBT, REBT and Reality Therapy. I believe it's not so much about negative experiences we have as it is about our ideas about these experiences. I teach how to reframe, set boundaries, and change how clients perceive situations to help reduce or remove negative emotions so they can live full and happy lives.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and art therapist I create a safe, welcoming environment that will enable you to create positive change in your life, family and community. Working together we will identify avenues to engage in a value driven life. At times feelings of anxiety and depression act as barriers to our goals and values. Through a variety of techniques, such as mindfulness, ACT (acceptance & commitment therapy) and art therapy these barriers can be eliminated.

In my tenure as a mental health professional I have served diverse populations in multiple settings to include: school-based, residential, community mental health and higher-education environments. Proficient in four languages (Ukrainian, Russian, French, and English), I provide culturally competent and trauma-informed clinical services to help people from all walks of life obtain access to mental health services. As a strong generalist, my therapeutic interests include a range of mental health issues and complications in individuals, couples, and families. As a trauma specialist, I hope to make the world as safer place for all.

I am passionate about children, teens, and parents. I chose to specialize in Child Clinical Psychology because I find children and adolescents to be fun to work with and incredibly strong and inspiring. I particularly enjoy working with those with anxiety and mood difficulties, and have extensive experience working with those with a history of traumatic experiences including abuse. Psychologists are extensively trained in both diagnostics - identifying disorders - and therapy, as well as how to use one to guide the other. I gather information from all areas of child's life to understand the child as a whole person.
