Working in public education - 10 years as a teacher, and 9+ years as a school counselor - I have had opportunities to foster growth not only among my student-clients, but their families, as well. Brittany Zientek is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her B.A. in Psychology as well as her M.A. in Professional Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Brittany is passionate about being a Christian Counselor who walks with her clients as they learn to understand themselves, others, and who God has uniquely created them to be. Symptoms are signals received from both the conscious mind from various sources throughout the body, an indication that something is wrong. By avoiding theses indicators, clients with extending and spiraling issues are able to address symptoms that would otherwise end in a complex and convoluted crises. Obviously our weaknesses and issues, such as anger, insecurity, fear of intimacy, and/or the need to control are expressions of a wounded child within. Much of society has been wounded through abuse or dysfunctional families. Unresolved conflicts tend to carry-over into our adult functioning.

There are difficult things that are hard to talk about and you may carry them quietly for years and years. They weigh on you, causing emotional, physical and relational problems.
