About

We're not trapped by our circumstances; we're trapped by our stories. Domenic Tamborriello, LMSW, has over 30 years experience working with Individuals, Couples, and Groups. He believes in seeing the very highest and best in each person and helping them lay claim to every part of themselves. Free of the guilt and shame of old stories, we can move forward in our lives with inner and outer peace to help us connect to our legitmate power, untapped passion, and inspiring possibilities.
Domenic's extensive history in the civil rights, women's, and men's movement makes him especially sensitive to race and gender issues. He facilitates a men's, a women's, and a poetry group each week. Let him help you use curiosity to break the grip of conflict.
Domenic has over 6,000 hours experience using poetry therapy. He sees it as the most efficient and effective therapeutic tool he has ever encountered. Poetry helps people find the easiest connections between their head and their heart. Find your creativity, find your voice, find your power.

Domenic Tamborriello's Groups

Men's Group

Men's group is a powerful and rare opportunity for men to step out of the usual dynamics of competition and obtain new tools for cooperation. Moving beyond the special pressures and stereotypes that society presses onto most men, we learn how to find our most authentic voice. Men's voices need to be heard and this is a chance to find the voice that goes beyond fears of being either too weak or too strong. This is a place free from judgement and filled with laughter as we stumble towards wholeness.

More about this group

Women's Group

Women's group is an opportunity to receive high quality support in the midst of diverse perspectives. This environment strives to promote safety and freedom from judgement. People with common wounds have the capacity to heal one another so groups offer a valuable pathway to growth and healing. This group respects the unique journey of women while striving to help people grow beyond stereotypes that have been so limiting for so many women. Special attention is given to relationship issues and dealing with family of origin issues.

Poetry Therapy

Poetry is the most efficient and effective therapeutic tool I know. It helps people go further in less time and easier than any other treatment modality. Using writing exercises, we find self-awareness and greatly improved self-esteem in the midst of tears, laughter, and joy. This is not poetry class and the goal is not to teach poetry as a craft. You will learn things in ways you couldn't have imagined in the midst of safety and very rich support. No writing experience or skill is necessary. Bring an open mind, you'll leave with an open heart.
