I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of New Jersey and I have been in practice for over fifteen years. I provide individual (children and adults), couples and family therapy. My work is guided by humanist principles that foster the growth of individuals in a therapeutic milieu. These include genuineness, acceptance and empathy.
My areas of expertise include working with survivors of intimate partner violence and child sexual abuse. Other areas of my work experience include working with individuals with mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and couples and family relational issues.
I use evidence informed interventions such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy and Support Therapy. My clinical approach is sensitive to the language, cultural, religious and educational needs of diverse populations. I'm fluent in English and Spanish.
