As a systemic thinker, I am always looking at a person in relationship to their environment, and the people in it. With a strength-based approach in family therapy, I also use psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral principles, while providing a safe and empathic environment for our work together. I have treated families, couples and individuals for 16 years with a broad scope of culture, age and relational issues. I have helped many people through transitional events that affect them throughout their lives; school, career, marriage, parenting, illness, loss, divorce and retirement. My interest is in the relationship you have with yourself and those around you.

I provide long-term psychodynamic therapy to adults and couples and psychological testing to children, adolescents, and adults. I focus on exploring interpersonal and trauma-based patterns, and how they shape personality, emotions, and everyday functioning. In testing, I provide an accessible, concise, and practically useful response to the question(s) presented for investigation, based on valid and reliable data from issue-appropriate tests, and integrate data from the domains of cognitive functioning, mood symptoms, personality, and transient or chronic environmental stressors. Before going into private practice, I was a Clinical Manager at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. After the September 11th attacks, I was retained by major corporations to provide counseling to employees suffering from trauma. In 1993, I co-founded the NYC Balkan Rape Crisis Task Force and traveled to Croatia to provide assistance to war survivors. In addition to my work experience, I have extensive post-graduate training... I have a Certificate from the Women's Therapy Centre Institute in Eating and Body Image Problems and from the Center for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis of New Jersey in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
