Most people struggle in relationships with others at some point in their lives; this is part of being human. We can benefit from talking things through.

My training as a mental health professional has taught me to be highly attuned to individuals needs, with a strong desire to help my clients overcome difficulties. Being knowledgeable about a number of treatment modalities is essential. I specialize in treating symptoms without focusing on labels. I know asking for help can be challenging. I aim to build and maintain positive and effective therapeutic relationships built around the confidence and trust of my clients. In over a decade of experience, I have used a variety of approaches to meet my clients needs.

Dr. Danielle Veney is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in Georgia specializing in treating children, families, and couples. She provides individual, family, and couple sessions through various treatment techniques such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Dr. Veney specializes in treating children, families, and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral issues, anger management, marital and premarital, and family conflict.

My ideal client lives in Georgia or South Carolina and needs a mental health evaluation, psychological evaluation, immigration evaluation, brief therapy, or brief life coaching. My client may need an assessment for court due to legal charges, for divorce litigation, or for administrative immigration proceedings. I provide evaluations and life coaching via private pay. For my therapy clients, I accept Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oscar Health, Oxford insurances. All services are provided via telehealth.

Building a relationship is the core foundation for long lasting change in the therapeutic work. It is important to me that no matter my client's struggles, they feel safe in working with me. I work with clients dealing with many different kinds of struggles from anxiety, depression, family issues, divorce/separation, addiction, parenting struggles, and relationship issues. I have also worked with many clients around building self-esteem and self-love.

I have given over 800 lectures on the subjects of divorce, parenting, transgender, family play therapy, supervision, learning disabilities, grief, ADHD, play therapy, adolescence, etc. I am a registered play therapist, certified in EMDR, and provide supervision and consultation to other psychotherapists.
