I had received extensive Play Therapy training and I am a Registered Play Therapist. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, I studied at Cameron University and received a master's in behavioral science in psychology, and a BA in communications from Georgia Southern University. I have been counseling clients since 2011. Prior to becoming a therapist I was an active duty soldier in the United States Army. The army provided exposure to many cultures and adversity. I departed from the army and became involved in military programs while supporting my active duty husband in his service. I was an advocate for the unit's family readiness group which led me to pursue a career in psychology.

I typically work with individuals with various diagnoses, couples struggling with marital issues and families navigating divorce, blended families, co-parenting, grief, insomnia, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and OCD. I am well-suited, competent, and clinically trained in a variety of treatment approaches including but not limited to CBT, Trauma, attachment injury, internal family systems, DBT, and childhood trauma. I have an interest in working with substance misuse, and all types of addiction, including gambling and increasingly common tech porn.

I strive to provide an open, supportive and nonjudgmental environment in which my clients feel comfortable expressing, talking, growing and making changes to their daily lives. I assist my clients in obtaining a greater understanding of their feelings, behaviors and thoughts to a fulfilling life. My clients are usually experiencing life changes such as everyday stressors, depression, anxiety, deaths, life transitions, marriage, divorce, parent/child relationships. I work with my clients to identify their strengths, areas of changes and growth and assist their journey to a fulfilling life. .

The Trap House of Healing is an unapologetic urbanized practice for Black families to be seen, heard, and supported.
