I have worked in the field of loss, grief and bereavement for over 25 years in both agency and private practice settings. Serving and supporting grieving folks, whether the loss is from a death, divorce, job loss, health loss or any other form of loss has been an honor and a privilege. Reaching out to a professional for any reason takes courage and a willingness to be vulnerable. Holding space for folks as they connect to their core sense of authenticity, vulnerability, courage, empathy and belonging is vital. The client is the "expert" in their own life; working with someone to connect to that inner knowledge is a joy.
I have worked with folks to set strong, necessary boundaries; understand and move through the grief process; find supportive coping skills subsequent to experiencing trauma, anxiety, infertility and other losses; and navigate through life transitions. I enjoy working in both 1:1 counseling and group formats, as well as through training workshops.
Each of us is unique and we each face unique life challenges. I hope to support you in finding your own emotional, mental, spiritual growth and balance. I enjoy holding the space for folks to tap into they own creativity, inner wisdom and strengths, resolve challenges, and connect to hope and a strong sense of self-worth.

Mind-Body Skills Groups

Mind-body skills are scientifically validated techniques that can teach you stress management techniques, improve personal coping skills, and enhance your capacity for relaxation, self-care and self-awareness. Techniques include meditation, guided imagery, mindful eating, biofeedback, autogenic training and the use of drawings, journals and movement to express thoughts and feelings. Integrative Storytellling Groups

These groups are based on the work of Dr. Edward Rynearson's Restorative Retelling model in which I received training. The groups are a safe and grounding for those who have experienced traumatic or violent deaths (homicide, suicide, COVID-related, overdose, accidents, heart attacks or other sudden, unexpected deaths). Group participants work through a 10-session process to support them as they move through some of the challenging and traumatic aspects of these types of deaths along with others who have experienced similar losses. Groups will be offered at different times throughout the year. Please call for additional information.
