Welcome! I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Indiana and I provide ON-LINE SERVICES ONLY. I received an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis in 2003. Since then I have worked in various capacities in the mental health field in several states. It’s so rewarding to help people navigate their struggles and learn new skills to help them move through life more easily. My favorite moment in therapy is when something finally clicks for the client and all of the sudden a shift occurs. After being stuck and in so much pain there’s finally a new path that brings hope.

Lives Transforming is a Christian counseling service that offers a grace based environment, free of judgement, to help clients find spiritual and mental health. We have a number of counselors that specialize in different areas but our most prominent counseling areas are marriage and family, adolescents, anxiety, and addiction.

I specialize in EMDR for those with addictions, trauma, or a combination of the two. If you are someone who is trying to cope with addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or chronic pain/illness, I would be glad to try to help you find another, better way forward. And what that "better way" looks like is up to you. I see therapy as being a very personal and intimate experience for each person and therefore tailor my approach to suit each person who walks into my office.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Bible and Religion from Anderson University. I completed my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. Additionally, I have post-graduate training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have worked in residential facilities for at-risk youth, schools, prisons, churches and private practices.

Many of the people that I see are at differing stages, transitions, struggles and journeys within their lives. Each of you have a unique set of needs and personal journey that prompted you to take this step. I have over 15 years of experience and enjoy working with children, teens and adults and provide individual and family therapy. My goal is to tailor the therapy session based on your identified goals and needs. I provide a safe, supportive, confidential and trusting environment that allows you to express, explore or gain desired insight into yourself, others or relationships or what your personal therapy journey may entail.

These discoveries can be used to bring positive changes in the lives of adults, adolescents, and children who are finding new ways to manage today's issues and build strategies for a healthy future.

I see individuals who struggle with anger, anxiety, depression and mood swings, which may be coupled with addictive thinking or behaviors, to help find calm amidst the chaos in one's life. I believe couples are a system, yet individually bring their own pain that is transmitted to one's partner. I am committed to helping couples transform their own pain with the support of their partner to be available to the joys of a committed partnership.

I have been working with individuals and couples for 20 years. Many of the clients I see suffer from depression, anxiety, work issues, and relationship issues (including communication problems, feeling disconnected, infidelity, and divorce). I help clients find new ways of coping, seeing and thinking, and relating. Although I am knowledgable and skilled in several therapeutic methods, I don't believe in "one-size-fits-all" therapy. Instead, I adapt my treatment plan to meet the needs, goals, and personality of each client.

I serve clients who struggle with long term emotional distress or who have crisis issues in their lives. Clients motivated to understand the conscious and unconscious forces and meanings that shape their experience and their relationships are specially suited to the work I do. I work from the perspective of intersubjective psychoanalytic theory and object relations theory. I am an Accredited Practitioner in Mentalization Based Psychotherapy with Personality Disorders through the British Psychoanalytic Council.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Addiction Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. Additionally, I obtained my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University. I have clinical experience working in predominately residential and outpatient settings. I commonly work with adolescents, adults, and families pursuing recovery from alcohol and/or other substance abuse issues. My focus and clinical interests center around the following: improving marital satisfaction and connection; depression; anxiety; increasing self-esteem and self-worth; trauma; increasing family cohesion.
