I see therapy as a powerful commitment to one's own healing and personal evolution, in the context of a genuine relationship based on equality and respect. I work best with people who are ready and willing to dive in and learn new ways to be with themselves, no matter what circumstances they are dealing with (relationship problems, grief and loss, sexuality and identity issues, negative thinking, depression, anxiety, family responsibilities, health issues, midlife transitions, etc). Though deep listening is foundational, I take an active role in offering feedback and teaching you tools for shifting your inner and outer realties.
I specialize in creating a sanctum for being courageously honest with yourself, recognizing and reconnecting with inner strengths and capabilities, and freeing yourself from beliefs and defenses that once helped you to survive, but are now getting in the way of you having deeper and more mutually satisfying relationships.
Whether in individual, couples or group therapy, my approach is experiential. I help you learn to listen to your body, feel into your heart and train your mind to be your ally. I aim to make every session count, so that you always leave with something new to work with.
