Diversity Counseling of Nevada provides evidenced based, client centered approaches for people who are a part of a marginalized community with Substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders, particularly LGBTQ+ clients. Diversity Counseling of Nevada will take all clients who are either part of this marginalized group or is an ally of this marginalized group. Diversity Counseling of Nevada is only taking cash paying clients. My hours are by appointment.
I am an Alcoholic in recovery since 2007 and I graduated from Hazelden (Now Hazelden-Betty Ford) and use their evidenced based practices to help facilitate the changes necessary for recovery from substance abuse. I work on the mental health issues that are the reasons for the use.
I am Transgender so in addition to being in recovery myself, I am uniquely qualified to help people in the LGBTQ+ community who are suffering from Substance Abuse/Mental Health issues because of my experience and education. I can help where others can't.
