Dittmar Counseling Services has been providing therapy to individuals from communities throughout Westmoreland County since 2009. From its inception, treatment for adults, adolescents, families and couples in a quiet, private setting has enabled us to create a safe environment for the development of productive therapeutic relationships to occur. Because of the practice’s growth, we have been able to include adult psychiatric medication management for individuals needing medicinal intervention as well. We continue to offer flexible hours for appointments during the week.
Our counseling staff have trained in CBT & DBT methods, strategies for adolescent & child therapy and family and couple's counseling as well. We also have a therapist trained and certified in the use of EMDR, a relatively new treatment for traumatized individuals. Therapists in the practice have gained a wealth of knowledge from previous work experiences in the treatment of mental health issues including anxiety and depression, bi-polar disorders, drug and alcohol use, abuse, developmental problems, career counseling and many others. Our therapists desire to meet the full range of needs of each client and can expertly utilize the variety of counseling regimens practiced in treatment settings. The key at Dittmar Counseling is identifying the particular concerns of the client and having the flexibility to apply the best methods to create the opportunities for constructive change.

This was a program sponsored by the paper to survey its readers regarding a wide variety of local businesses and their level of satisfaction and/or willingness to recommend the business to others.
