My belief that the therapeutic relationship is the key element of successful treatment informs my practice. This working relationship, based on mutual trust and shared goals, allows for self-exploration and ultimately personal growth. In working with individuals, couples, families and/or groups I think that connecting the dots between past and present allows the client to have a better grasp on what is influencing her/his feelings and life choices leading to greater empowerment and life satisfaction.
I have extensive experience with adult survivors of childhood abuse diagnosed with PTSD and Dissociative Disorders.

More about this group

Male Sexual Survivor Group

This is an an open-ended process group for men who survived childhood sexual abuse. We are welcoming new members. Former members have commented that this group has been one of the only places they can be honest and real about their abuse. The group creates space that allows members to become curious about their experiences, let go of shame, and embrace self-understanding and compassion. It is facilitated by me and Cornelia Tietke, LICSW. If you would like to learn more, please call me at 410-507-2569 or Cornelia at 202-271-5673.
