For the past 25 years, I have worked in a variety of treatment settings (inpatient, chemical dependency, and intensive outpatient, abused persons programs, and crisis intervention) and am prepared to help men, women, couples, and adolescents to recover and heal from such issues as depression, anxiety, marital distress, sexual addiction, trauma and dissociative disorders, and family distress. I am trained in cognitive behavioral, family systems, Emotionally Focused Couples therapy, neurofeedback, EMDR, and 12-step addictions recovery, including alcoholism, drug addiction, sexual addiction, and codependency.
My main treatment orientations are cognitive behavioral, family systems, and Christian spirituality. I have developed a brain-based focus utilizing EEG biofeedback and qEEG assessments. I have training in a variety of trauma and dissociative disorders treatment modalities, especially EMDR. My couples work is particularly informed by Emotionally Focused Couples therapy.
I have worked with Meier Clinics (formerly Minirth-Meier and New Life) and other Christian therapy groups since 1990, successfully combining the best of biblically-based counseling with the most up-to-date brain-based interventions, such as neurofeedback.
