I have worked in many different types of agencies, so I have experience treating a variety of difficulties that people have faced. I have extensive experience teaching clients how to practice mindfulness to reduce suffering and increase resilience. I assist in helping you to uncover, trust, and implement the wisdom you have inside of you.
I enjoy working with adults ages 18 and up, and I can support you as you recover from depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and/or abuse. You may have a history of loss, trauma, and/or addiction, or you may be seeking to grow and change in new ways. Groups
Mindfulness Practice Group-occuring virtually
In the group you will learn how to meditate, starting with shamatha ("Peaceful Abiding") meditation practice. The purpose of shamatha meditation is to stabilize the mind by cultivating a steady awareness of the object of meditation. The group will consist of basic instruction, meditation practice, sharing about experience, and a discussion of supplemental readings provided each week. This group is not a therapy group and does not require an intake appointment. A consultation form is required and will be provided at registration. Call to register and provide an email address to receive the readings for that week.
