Emotion Regulation (Anger Management)

Our group's purpose is related to regulating emotions; commonly the "A" word, 'Anger.' Unidentified emotions often lead to Anger Management problems and legal/domestic difficulties. Common emotions/thoughts discussed in session include, but not limited to, jealousy, fear of abandonment, control, rejection, insecurity, feelings of disrespect, and the ever-important lack of effective communication. Clients will learn to accurately identify emotions and techniques to effectively communicate thoughts, emotions, feelings and communicate in a respective manner. Also discussed; the role drugs/alcohol play in relationship to Emotion Regulation/Anger Management. Clients are encouraged to invite significant others to "Family Groups."
