My name is Dinesh. I am a licensed Professional counselor and also working towards getting my License in Chemical dependency as well. My goal as a therapist is to help you become mindful of your life values and your life stories, guide you to change them if necessary, and help you become the best version of yourself. Having worked in different settings, hospitals, rehab centers, clinics, and schools, I am flexible to work with people of all ages and different concerns.
Since I grew up outside the USA, I have multi-cultural competence and exposure to multiple cultures and ways of life, which has definitely enriched my therapeutic approach and perspective on handling situations. My therapeutic approach is individualized, and I am flexible in changing the approach as per your need.
I use different techniques for different people based on the crisis we are dealing with. I mainly use cognitive behavioral, person-centered, and psychodynamic approaches, and I always mix other approaches as well. I am a very active listener, and a session with me will make you feel comfortable to trust me and open up.
