My clients recognize they have work to do that won't be a simple fix; they hunger to get past their hurts and traumas and behaviors they've used up until this time to protect themselves that only cause harm to themselves and others. They are ready for change.
My clients recognize they can't navigate these challenges alone-they need someone to walk with them as they face hurts, unhealthy thoughts and behaviors, and build new thoughts and actions to live the life the way they desire rather than living reactively.
I help my clients by providing a safe, unconditionally accepting place that emphasizes story telling, cognitive restructuring, and narrative creation. I have experience in and passion for grief work in all areas-loss of an intimate loved one, disenfranchised grief (losing a pet, friend, coworker, etc), and ambiguous grief (divorce, job change, moving, etc).
Life is not an arrival. Life is a journey. And we carry along the baggage of old hurts and new hurts as we try to survive. You don't have to walk alone. Let me walk with you so we can work together so you can learn how to better navigate your journey with more peace and more joy.
