You are not alone. You can reduce your emotional or physical pain, improve your physical functioning, reduce your psychological distress, and regain your quality of life.
If you are experiencing feelings of depression, anxiety, fear, anger, denial, disappointment, guilt, overwhelm, loneliness, insomnia, nightmares, have been through some trauma, have physical or emotional pain, I would love to see you. Persons I work with describe me as a knowledgeable, non-judgmental, supportive, compassionate, empathic, nurturing, effective therapist.
I'm a licensed psychologist, formerly with Kaiser Permanente and Veterans Administration, and most recently faculty at UCSF Department of Family and Community Medicine, teaching health professionals such as psychiatrists, medical doctors, and psychologists about chronic pain management. I also have experience providing individual, couple, and group therapy.
I provide services with knowledge and skill combined with a commitment to effective, ethical, and respectful psychotherapy services. I offer bilingual (English/Spanish) science-, research-, and evidence-based psychological treatments that include psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), client-centered, and Time-Limited Dynamic Psychotherapy (TLDP) therapies for individuals, couples, and groups.
