Great to meet you! I specialize in working with individual adults in both Florida and California State. Prior to becoming a therapist, I dedicated 20 years to working in community health centers, hospitals, adult day care facilities, and a crisis support center and text line in California. This wide array of experience gave me the opportunity to identify those suffering from depression, anxiety, life transitions, loss, self-worth issues, relationship problems, and other life stressors. I continue to be honored and humbled with clients allowing me to enter their worlds.
I utilize a client centered approach of warmth, compassion, and humor. My work with individuals includes: gaining insight, strengthening their coping and communication skills, increasing awareness of self, and thus becoming more resilient in their own lives. It is my belief that with enough intention in our lives, we can accept and create our new narrative.
Due to personally losing two family members to depression, I am especially attuned to those suffering from loss of any kind, and compelled to soften the anxiety, depression, trauma, and confusion that rises from these events. Rather than succumbing to difficult circumstances, we work together to find the strength that exists within YOU.
