I specialize in treating adults with anxiety, OCD, phobias (ex. fear of flying), sleep or insomnia, trauma, and career concerns. I work well with those needing support around major career transitions, as I shifted from a 16-year career at the World Bank to the mental health field. As a Chinese-American immigrant from Hong Kong, I also have a strong interest in helping clients navigate issues related to their cultural identities or adjusting to different cultural environments.
I collaborate with clients to understand unhelpful patterns that cause distress. Once identified, we work together from a strengths-based perspective to make beneficial changes to bring more satisfaction in your life and relationships. My background and training are rooted in evidence-based practices, through positions in various settings such as a community clinic, Veterans Affairs hospital, public psychiatric hospital, university counseling center, and private practice. Group members will learn skills rooted in exposure & response prevention therapy (ERP) and find support among people with similar struggles. This in-person group will be offered on Wednesday afternoons at 4:15pm starting in 2025.
