If you view counseling as scary and intimidating, you are not alone. Just the first step of reaching out to a counselor takes tremendous courage. My first goal is to provide a safe environment where you can begin to sort out issues and concerns that may be keeping you feeling stuck with no energy and no hope. My approach to counseling blends my education and experience in a genuine, compassionate setting. I use an individualized, eclectic approach to develop a collaborative relationship where you will be encouraged to experience and express your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, worries, concerns, and fears.
Through the use of a variety of techniques and methods, I strive to help individuals and couples tackle issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorders, grief, and marriage/family issues. I have training in the Gottman method of couples counseling and am a certified trainer for Prepare/Enrich.
