DiAnne Beard, MA, Licensed Professional Counselor in Sioux Falls
Couples/Relationship Therapist + Individual Counseling. I enjoy helping people to live more wholeheartedly, find grace and tap into growing resiliency. That begins to happen when we feel seen, heard and understood. I understand how shame and fear barricade us from living life more fully. We can lose our way with marriages, interpersonal relationships or professional focus. I have a special interest in working with the 'helping professionals' (clergy, medical, civic) encountering fatigue, burn out or vicarious trauma.
We explore thoughts, emotions and core beliefs and address how they impact everyday life, including our relationships. We identify roadblocks and work toward reconciliation and healing the places that are impacted. We address primary emotional needs, work to improve our internal thought world and create interactional patterns that are healthy.
I enjoy helping couple's create closer connections and work through presenting problems with emotion focused and Gottman therapy. I utilize cognitive behavioral or dialectical therapy skills to help client's with anxiety, depression or thought impulsivity. I offer all insights and feedback in a warm, accepting and compassionate environment.
