I am a licensed professional counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health. I work with people of all ages, but I have many years of experience with children. I was a school counselor and an elementary teacher before I became a counselor. I believe we can experience life more fully when we can control emotions and focus on the positive things in life. I have training in emotion-regulation strategies.
We have all experienced traumas in our lives. When we can process these traumatic events and embrace the various emotions related to these events, we can live with them in a healthier way. I have completed an internship at a women’s shelter and at a Children’s Advocacy Center. I have worked with families and children experiencing many difficult situations.
