About
If you are in emotional pain or discomfort, feeling stuck but want to move forward in life, I am happy to speak with you about individual psychotherapy, couple/marriage or family counseling. I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds on problems in their relationships, in their workplace, in their family life, and at times of difficult life transitions. I offer a safe environment to talk comfortably and work collaboratively to improve a client’s well-being. I specialize in helping lawyers and medical professionals under stress. And having had a past involvement in politics, I enjoy working with elected/government officials.
My practice includes all kinds of professionals, as well as military, university students and stay-at-home parents. My clients work on such issues as: anxiety, depression, workplace dissatisfaction, self-esteem, marital/family problems, separation/divorce, parenting, work-family balance, reproductive/infertility problems, postpartum distress, grief and loss.
I am an assistant professor of clinical psychology at George Washington University and formerly a staff psychologist at Georgetown University Law Center. I am affiliated with the Medical Society of DC Physician Wellbeing Program. I do teletherapy in DC/MD/VA, and my offices are convenient to downtown, Capitol Hill, Van Ness, Dupont Circle and Bethesda/CC.
