I believe in the power of clients motivation and willingness to participate in treatment. I offer unconditional acceptance, and encouragement. I want to help individuals find their personal strengths and possibilities. My ideal client is an individual who is willing to participate in treatment and wants to change at their own pace. I celebrate creativity, diversity and different learning styles. I make house calls and facilitate in home family therapy for individuals who cannot travel.
I have 3 special areas: ADHD and learning problems; Addiction; and Family conflict. Many adults and children struggle with ADHD, different learning styles.and addiction. I help clients identify and work from their strengths.
I use Cognitive Behavioral therapy to teach effective coping skills for reducing anger, emotional overload and distorted thinking. I also use expressive arts therapy to help clients integrate past trauma and move forward.
