Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia with over 14 years of experience and service in community mental health. I received my Master's degree at Florida State University and currently work with individuals with challenges in the areas of mental health management and substance abuse. In addition to helping others navigate challenges in one or both of these areas, my goal is to help empower individuals to develop ways to overcome obstacles related to their specific needs and lead a fulfilling life.
As a therapist, my goal is to help my clients establish clear and achievable goals. These goals will vary depending on the specific need(s) of the individual. Some examples include: Improved mental health, Healthy relationships, Self-awareness and personal growth, Behavior change, Stress management and Trauma processing.
As someone who understands the challenges that life can bring, I strive to instill the same concepts that I would want for myself and loved ones. I provide this experience for others, to include: Active listening, Allowing my clients to express themselves freely and be supported in such, Practicing silence and Reflecting to ensure understanding of concerns.
