I am licensed in both NJ and NY. I strongly believe in the healing power of the therapist-client relationship when trust, care, authenticity and communication are present. I have been deeply engaged with clients experiencing life transitions (based on age, career change, parenthood, etc.) or trauma/loss (as a result of broken relationships, abuse, racism, separation, divorce, illness or death.) I feel it's important to work with clients as they feel is best suited to them, and for me to be present and flexible, listen carefully and be open-minded.
I am a very compassionate person who is usually seen as warm and engaging. I appreciate the range of factors contributing to stress, anxiety or depression. I am deeply committed to a high level of professionalism including utilizing the most effective approaches to resolve difficulties. I believe in the dignity, strength and worth of all people.
I believe it is very important for clients to get a strong sense of the therapist to begin developing trust, and for the client to feel hopeful about the value of therapy as a healing process. All potential clients are encouraged to call me for a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if there's a good fit.
