About
I offer a strength based, caring approach to creating change. I treat each person with respect and dignity. Decades of experience and intensive trainings ground my clinical work in evidenced based practices. I work with individuals, couples and families to identify core issues, negotiate conflicts, enhance coping skills and create behavior change. My work with couples and families encourages and teaches healthy communication skills and enhances attachment. I have Gottman Method and Emotionally Focussed Couples training. I work with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, effects of trauma and relationship issues.
I have been trained in the Gottman Method, level 3, as well as the Gottman Method for Treating Affairs and Betrayal and am a certified leader for The 7 Principles of Making a Marriage Work. I will gently redirect, be interactive, use humor (when appropriate) and assign homework. I will partner with you to create your desired change.
I am trained in Clinical Hypnosis, Mindfulness and Emotional Freedom Technique/Tapping which are unique tools for overcoming anxiety, depression, cravings and other emotional blocks. All therapy is practiced with care and consideration of each clients' wants, needs, comfort level and with informed consent. I am a member of MSCH.
