The ability to help others is of great importance to me. It is my objective to create a safe, warm, and inviting atmosphere for clients. While trained in a variety of theories, I seek to adapt my skills to meet the needs of my clients. Although my counseling background and specialties are with children and families, I value working with anyone because I believe we are brought to each other for a reason. I work with individuals, families, and children and utilize play and sand therapy in treatment.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified- Telemental Health counselor, and working toward credentialing as a Registered Play Therapist. Education includes MA in marriage and family counseling and EdS in counseling. Counseling theories: person centered, family systems, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, filial and child centered play.
My father is a retired Master Sergeant who served 24 years in the U.S. Army. In my childhood and youth moving was a frequent occurrence. I have worked with civilian and military populations as a licensed professional counselor and resiliency trainer. I am very comfortable with people from all walks of life and I look forward to meeting you!
