I have been in the mental health field for over 30 years practicing in a variety of settings. My current interests have evolved after years of working with adolescent females and adult women, followed by years of working with troubled families where I became aware of the prevalence of and impact from various kinds of trauma. Depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relational issues and living with and healing from trauma are areas of my expertise.
I presently work with adults and assist them to recognize ways in which their pasts impact their present, to improve their capacity for self-understanding and self compassion, to create and promote healthier relationships within themselves and with others as well as heal from and perhaps repair those relationships which are ruptured.
I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the New England Society for the Treatment of Trauma and Dissociation.
